In this day-long interactive session a panel of experts will explore responses to employee absenteeism and how unions and employers can ensure that legal requirements are met, including: |

- Designing and administering effective Attendance Management Policies
- Distinguishing between culpable and non-culpable absenteeism
- How to treat absences caused by workplace injuries, disabilities, child and family care obligations, and emergency leave days
- Establishing enforceable requirements for attendance
- The rules governing medical certificates
- The scope of the duty to accommodate employee disability
- The right to terminate employment for innocent absenteeism
